Lead Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Dublin, Ohio (3 days) Remote (2 days)
About the Job
As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing data warehousing and integration projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and drive innovation.
What You'll Do:
• Apply advanced technical concepts to develop data warehousing and integration projects.
• Write high-quality, performant code that adheres to company guidelines and industry best practices.
• Apply business and domain knowledge to develop a deeper understanding of the system and contribute to effective solutions.
• Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements by actively participating in testing efforts and enforcing quality standards
• Design and maintain accurate data models to meet business requirements.
• Develop extensible integration workflows connecting internal applications.
• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in refining project requirements with stakeholders.
• Participate in team processes for planning, tracking work, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee deployments and support projects post-release.
• Recommend practices to enhance quality and productivity.
• Review and approve changes to models and code.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Evaluate frameworks, technology, platforms, and tooling solutions.
Must Have:
• 7+ years experience supporting highly available, scalable data systems.
• 5+ years experience in relational database design and optimization (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).
• 5+ years experience with OLAP and OLTP Data Platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with DBT
• 5+ years of experience with AWS ETL and OLAP technologies (Redshift, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, DMS, MSK, etc.)
• Experience integrating with various systems and platforms.
• Proficiency with Data Warehousing solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Great To Have:
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to work collaboratively in a flat, inter-disciplinary organization structure.
• Self-starter, ownership attitudes and ability to work with little supervision with a bias for action.
• Solid experience with the Monday.com suite of products
Blow Us Away:
• Experience writing data pipelines using Python or similar languages
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with iPaaS Solutions (Dell Boomi, Adeptia, etc.).
• Experience integrating with ERP Systems, Salesforce, or Tableau.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, and CI/CD Pipelines.
