About the Role
As a Senior Android Software Engineer on the Android Infrastructure team, you will build the foundational pieces for all DoorDash Android applications. These include runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools. You will work closely with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers across all parts of the engineering organization to deliver large and impactful initiatives. Additionally, you will be a culture carrier for our Android community engineers through mentorship, education, and engagement of your peers.

You will report into the Engineering Manager of our Android Infrastructure team in our Developer Platform organization. You must be located in either San Francisco, CA, Sunnyvale, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, New York, NY, or Toronto, ON.

  • You have 3 years+ of Android development experience.
  • You are an expert in Android development, Gradle, Compose, and Coroutines.
  • You have a product mindset and apply that to how you would build out platform services.
  • You love people, systems, and software and are competent working with all three.
  • You're curious and like to dive deep into different system architectures.
  • You are an organized and excellent written and verbal communicator.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
