• Location: Hartford, CT preferred
• 6 Month Contract with possible contract to hire
• Must have a minimum of 3 years in a Tech Lead role/ 5 is highy preferred
• Must have overall 7+years in development that includes Hybrid Mobile (Ionic platform), Angular v12+ (v18 preferred), Typescript, AWS, and Heavy API
• AppFlow, FastLane, and Ionic Framework (Capacitor by Ionic) on Angular 18 are the key for this client!!!!!!!!!
• NOTE: Hybrid Mobile means they do not use IOS App Store or Android App Store...they need someone who has expertise in using a single code base for all mobile and web

What type of development will this contractor be doing? (Back end, front end, full stack?) and what will they be responsible for developing?

• Full stack (Ionic Framework with Angular), Backend-For-Frontend in AWS Serverless, AWS development and configuration, Code Reviews, DevOps, AppStore releases

What type of application will they be developing? Will this contractor primarily be working on new development or maintaining the current environment?

• New backend and frontend code to integrate LOBs into the app; Support of existing development as well. Advocate for best practices.

Will this contractor be testing the application/software they are developing?

• Unit and Integration testing for contributed code; working with QA team as well

What programming languages do you want this contractor to have experience with? (How many years of experience with each language)

• Angular 5 to 7 years; Ionic framework a plus
• Published apps to the appstores
• AWS 2 to 3 years
• Typescript/JS 4 years. Experience with TS V5.

The Hartford's Enterprise Mobile team is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Tech Lead. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills and have experience in delivering quality technical solutions as well as setting and executing on a strategic technical vision. We are always innovating and exploring new technologies in this space and the right individual would have to be willing to work outside their comfort zone and pioneer new strategies in this fast-paced environment.

In addition, the candidate must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, willingness to understand existing processes and systems, collaborate with integrating application teams, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should be able to take decisions quickly in consultation with team members and subject matter experts and be able to build relationships and understand the dynamics and critical nature of the business.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Working with the Product Management, Business Analyst and UX team to refine feature requirements and execute technical solutions.
• Working with Line of Business Application teams and Architecture to define solutions to technical integrations across the Enterprise.
• Work with Enterprise Mobile Team to implement best practices, review code, and assist in improving team development.
• Contribute to and work on code for both Front End, Back end, and AWS.
• Execute in an agile framework (Scrum or Kanban). Effectively communicate questions and impediments to the team as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of programming/systems analysis and 3+ years of experience executing in an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
• Bachelor s Degree Required
• Strong experience with working on a Mobile Application. Ionic Hybrid is preferred, but Native applications will also be considered. Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript are foundational to this position.
• Strong Testing Framework experience and methodology. Playwright experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with GIT and GitHub Flow are essential;
• UX experience with Figma and Design Tokens is preferred. Solid understanding of CSS.
• High level of independence and integrity while being a solid team player
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within established timelines
• Strong relationship building skills; Exceptional Communication skills - written and verbal
