We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT TEAM
The Data Management Office ensures that data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, secure, and can serve multiple users. We help facilitate getting data from a variety of different sources, getting it in the right formats, assuring that it adhere to data quality standards, and assuring that downstream users can get that data quickly.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Quality Engineer at Parametric, you will design and execute the testing strategy for our new central Data Lake initiative. Our data sets are focused on financial market information from both vendor and internal sources to meet our business needs. You will be responsible for creating, evaluating, and maintaining test plans and cases for various data management platforms such as SQL Server, S3 Data Lake, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, financial services and data technologies. A love for learning and flexibility is also key. We are Agile so knowing Scrum is a big plus. This role will also be responsible for directing the work for of team of consultants.

Salary range for the position: $110,000 - $225,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Primary Responsibilities
- Test architecture, planning, design and implementation
- Create data and SQL centric testing strategies with acceptance criteria that meets defined business requirements
- Create, execute and validate test plans and cases with business owners and data engineers
- Work with DevOps to create and maintain test environments (both Linux and Windows)
- Demo data solutions to business stakeholders and obtain sign off
- Fill out and manage the release tickets through user acceptance (UAT) and production
- Business Interaction
- Work directly with business members to understand requirements and ensure acceptance criteria is met
- Perform all aspects of User Acceptance Testing: answering client questions, tracking and reporting issues, determining and classifying bug versus enhancement

- Experience with testing automation tools as applied to data solution is highly desirable
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of QA experience primarily in data solutions
- Deep experience in creating and documenting test plans, test case scenarios and processes.
- Strong analytical skills, judgment and ability to understand complex business problems quickly
- Prior experience managing or directing the work of consultants
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well-versed in all testing methodologies (black box, white box, system, functional, exploratory and automated testing)
- Background in data engineering, data testing frameworks and automation preferred
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education and experience
- Tech Stack Requirements:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- AWS Experience such as S3, IAM, Lambdas, and Glue
- Data Lake Experience such as S3, EMR, Hadoop
- Snowflake
- Airflow
- NiFi
- Experience in an Agile environment.
