We are hiring a Senior Information Security Engineer to join our growing Systems Security team. The Systems Security team designs, implements, and manages security infrastructure solutions deployed across the enterprise. This position directly supports our endpoint security program by implementing and operating endpoint security services primarily focused on email security and assists with anti-malware and application control. This position will focus on developing security controls, ensuring coverage, improving efficiencies, and automation. You will join a strong team of nine already performing to a very high level and having fun in the process, as well as working closely with your peers in Network Security, Data Security, Identity Management, and Application Security to achieve our comprehensive security objectives.

There is an on-call rotation that will include nights and weekends based on business needs.

This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location. The target salary range for this position is $90-145k, based on location and experience.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Implement and manage email security systems, policies, and procedures to prevent system compromise or infiltration.
  • Develop and implement standards for appropriate security checkpoints and encryption methods.
  • Investigate, recommend, and monitor implementation of new security products and services. Act as a central point of contact for internal and external customers on security issues.
  • Act as the final escalation point for complex security and support functions.
  • Manage high level projects that drive current security initiatives and support the security solutions.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in systems administration, architecture, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in information security.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with email security in an enterprise organization.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation including nights or weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JH meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with Cisco IronPort or Proofpoint.
  • Experience managing a large fleet of security endpoints across servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with information security concepts and frameworks such as defense in depth, zero trust networking, or the Mitre framework.
  • Experience with scripting, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and/or automation.
  • Experience using source code repositories like GitHub.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated environments.
