Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.\n\nThe work model for the role is: onsite\n\nThis role is contributing to the Motion Business.\n \tSupport IMD lab activities by continuing build-out of lab setups and demonstrators. Integrate customer fan applications to broaden application test capabilities.\n \tSupport customer issue resolution and application questions to enable new business development.\n \tStrengthen product documentation with improved manuals, drawings, and user guides.\n \tContribute to new product development through validation test and documentation activities.\n \tCoordinate with lab leadership and personnel as well as product line leaders in integrated motor drive product group.\n \tMentoring and networking opportunities.\n \tPersonal and professional development programing will be offered to all interns. This programing will include global and local sessions.\n\n
Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical, mechanical engineering , or related field, in the United States.
  • \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • \tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • \tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • \tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
