Job Details

Role: Senior Python Engineer

Location: 100% remote EST time zone (prefers east coast)

Duration : 6-12 months contract

Work Authorization: Someone who doesn t require visa sponsorship.

Project Description:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new features within our Density API.

Day-to-day tasks will include designing and implementing software systems, debugging and testing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Must have:

  1. Startup experience
  2. Logistics experience related to shipping carriers, truck & carrier, small package delivery, freight delivery working with companies like FedEx, UPS, DHL, , Shiply, XPO Logistics, Flexport, ShipAccel, etc.

Top Requirements:

  • Experience working with a small startup, under 50 people
  • Experience working in the logistics space related to shipping carriers, truck & carrier, small package delivery, etc.
  • 5+ years total development experience Python focused
    • Appreciation of Python coding best practices and agile development methodology
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Comfort testing your own code, and that of your team
  • Comfortable working in an environment where you wear multiple hats (product, design, QA)
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or AWS
  • Understanding of transactional and analytical databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to design and develop solutions that are resilient to failures and unlock observability
