Description
We are on the lookout for a Network Engineer to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting networking solutions primarily in a Cisco environment. You will work closely with external vendors and internal teams to address technical challenges and maintain strong communication channels. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Manage and resolve technical support tickets on a daily basis, ensuring effective resolution of issues.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to address and solve technical challenges.
Provide hands-on assistance and support as an additional resource within the team to ensure smooth operations.
Work with Cisco Wireless technology to support and troubleshoot wireless networking issues.
Operate primarily in a Cisco environment, managing and maintaining Cisco networking solutions.
Work with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, which are essential for this role.
Maintain strong communication channels with all stakeholders to coordinate solutions.
Act as an integral part of the team, providing support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in Cisco Firewall
Proficiency in Cisco Collaboration
Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot network-related issues
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
