As a Release Train Engineer, you will:

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our team and lead the execution of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in alignment with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles. The RTE will play a pivotal role in facilitating the ART events, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth delivery of complex projects across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate ART Events: Plan, execute, and oversee the Program Increment (PI) planning, ART syncs, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
  • Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies that may impact the ART's ability to deliver value.
  • Support Agile Teams: Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams to ensure adherence to SAFe principles and best practices.
  • Optimize ART Flow: Continuously improve the flow of value through ART by focusing on optimizing processes, removing bottlenecks, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between teams, Product Management, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on ART performance metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and cumulative flow to provide insights and drive improvements.
  • Coach and Mentor: Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe practices, promoting Lean-Agile principles and a DevOps mindset.
  • Facilitate Change: Guide the organization in implementing and scaling Agile practices, driving cultural and process change as needed.
  • Support PI Planning: Ensure readiness for PI planning, including coordination of dependencies, stakeholder engagement, and alignment of teams' objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Certification: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification is required. Additional SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment, with at least 2 years as a Release Train Engineer or Agile Program Manager. Previous Banking domain experience.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe principles
