Your day-to-day work will include:
- Data mappings between legacy and modern Army FM systems.
- Data architectural diagrams.
- A backlog of data interface requirements to Joint data platforms.
- Records of interfaces and products in data catalogs
- Being the lead for identifying and recording common data elements across multiple legacy and modern systems.
- Developing architectural diagrams for data flows between FM systems and Joint data platforms (e.g., Advana, Vantage).
- Developing and overseeing data mappings to modern systems and data platforms.
- Drafting and submitting data product descriptions to appropriate data catalogs (e.g., Army Data Catalog, Advana Data Catalog).
- Coordinating with OSD CDAO to maintain an Army backlog of data needs in Advana.
- Coordinating with Army CDAO for needs in the Army data platform, as necessary.
- Working with Enterprise Architecture to update DIV-1 and other system views in EKR.
- Working directly with government leadership managing teams, customers, and data requirements
- Assisting Audit teams with monthly data ingestions from Army systems
- Management of data initiatives and small projects from start to finish
- Working with the Army FM&C Lead to prioritize Advana data product requirements
- Developing recurring and ad hoc financial datasets
- Developing Advana datasets and analytical products to enable the Army to report on all Financial System data
- Reviewing data pipeline code via GitLab to ensure it meets team and code standards
- Overseeing overall architecture and technical direction for FM&C data projects
- Other duties as assigned.
At a minimum you should have:
- ship and an active SECRET security clearance.
- A master's degree in a related field.
- 10+ years' relevant experience.
- Data Architecture experience.
- Well-versed in Python
- Well-versed in Spark / PySpark
- Experience building and managing data pipelines
- Proficient in data analytics tools such as Databricks
- Experience working via the terminal/command line
- Experience consuming data via APIs
- Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence
- A working knowledge of SAP ECC.
- A working knowledge of common data analytic tools, e.g., Databrick, Qlik, Power BI.
- Data modeling experience.
- Experience working in an Agile team.
Desired Skills:
- AWS cloud experience
- Experience maintaining data pipelines with tables containing over a billion rows/records
- Experience building, deploying, and managing Qlik dashboards
- Experience in or with Advana
- Experience with GitLab
- Experience working with DoD systems
- Experience working with financial systems
