Xylem is looking for a Field Service Technician to report to our Jacksonville, FL location and service our pumps both on-site and at customer sites in the surrounding area.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our pumps, and their corresponding electrical and mechanical components, both on-site and at various customer sites throughout FL. Equipment phone support will also be a part of the Field Service Technician's role. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous experience working with industrial or commercial mechanical and electrical equipment, including familiarity with PLCs, are especially encouraged to apply.

This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Position Requirements for Field Service Technicians
  • Service and repair knowledge of electrical equipment
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electric controls, related industrial equipment
  • Experience with variable frequency drives and PLC controls preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form at multiple levels
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical wiring schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Working understanding of single phase and three phase electrical systems as well as DC systems
  • Knowledge of AC/DC component location and identification
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electric and circuit testing skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot control panels for single phase and three phase controls
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Experience with electrical submersible equipment a plus


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily travel- home daily.

**The estimated salary range for this position is $26/hr-$34/hr. Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.**
