Description
The role is to support the Progress manufacturing execution system (MES) used by Dal-Tile, LLC.
The main responsibilities include:
-Basic understanding of networking, IPs, VPNs
-Ability to write simple queries to extract data, optimize processes, and troubleshoot issues
-Willingness to be on-site, initially for a week to understand the processes, and then 3-4 days per week going forward
-Potential need to visit manufacturing facilities to provide support
-The role requires experience with Progress OpenEdge software, which is used for barcode printing, data intake, and integration with other systems.
Preferred skills:
-MES ability
-Progress exposure
-SQL/Windows scripting
-Some networking/VPN knowledge.
The company is open to training a candidate with the right skills, even if they don\'t have the full 5+ years of Progress OpenEdge experience required.

Work Environment
The travel requirements for this role include:
Visiting the manufacturing facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, which will be the focus for the next 6-8 weeks.
Potentially visiting other manufacturing plants across the US, including locations in Tennessee, Muskogee, El Paso, and near New York in Gettysburg.
The immediate need is for the two plants in the DFW area, with the candidate expected to be on-site initially for a week to understand the processes, and then 3-4 days per week going forward.
