API Architect

Job Description:
We are seeking an API Architect with expertise in Generative AI to drive innovation and scalability in a leading banking institution. The ideal candidate will design and implement high-performance, secure, and scalable API solutions, integrating GenAI models into the bank s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and develop API strategies, governance, and best practices.
Design and optimize RESTful & GraphQL APIs for banking applications.
Integrate GenAI models (LLMs, NLP, ML frameworks) into APIs for automation and enhanced customer experiences.
Ensure security, compliance, and performance across API ecosystems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Data, DevOps, and Security).
Drive adoption of API management platforms and API monetization strategies.
Lead PoCs and innovation initiatives around AI-driven APIs.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in API architecture & development.
Strong expertise in REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI, and API Gateway technologies (Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft, etc.).
Hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js for API development.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and API security best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and Kubernetes.
Exposure to banking/financial services domain is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Vector Databases, RAG techniques, and AI model fine-tuning.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and API monitoring tools.
Understanding of banking regulations (PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.).
