Job DescriptionServes on the Applications team acting as the SME for the software platforms for the organization; identifies specific applications required to enhance business operations. Coordinates installation, upgrades, and future state of software applications used within the organization. Performs activities including planning and implementing business platforms/applications. Determines business requirements, conducts process analysis and prioritization. Engages with key vendors for better understanding of our platform. Provides key feedback to Managers, team members and business partners to achieve successful results in application platform sustainability.
Essential Functions
- Subject Matter Expert: Researches opportunities to improve Application processes. Effectively contributes to the development of controls and processes improving application services. May provide application expertise across multiple technical platforms. Performs troubleshooting and resolution on systems. Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation that enhance the application suite . Assess, design and analyze automation scripts. Utilize experience optimizing applications and solutions for internal and external clients. Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and business users in conceptualizing, estimating and developing new software applications and enhancements. Analyze user requests and assist with design activities. Develop technical documentation to define the system components, development environment and implementation planning/strategies. Work to integrate infrastructure builds with application deployment workflows.
- Incident Support: Supports the incident management processes. Able to monitor ticket queues and resolve production performance, server, and application related issues to ensure the restoration of the environment.
- Innovation: Creates new processes for better support and training. Creating new automation to reduce human error. Innovate on technology.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study
- 3+ years of combined IT experience in application support, host operations, systems/network administration, desktop support, and/or Disaster Recovery
- 1+ years' developing and documenting procedures
- 2+ years' progressive experience in a Credit Union / Financial Services operations environment (preferred)
Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated excellence in providing superb customer service.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices such as PCI, GLBA, FFIEC, NIST, ISO 27000, HIPPA, OWASP, SSAE 16/18, SOC2 and the Cloud Security Alliance.
- Familiarity with Systems Lifecycle Development (SDLC) best practices.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
- Proficient in Incident Management and Response.
- Ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders.
- Ability to assess the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs.
- Communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
- Analytical skills, Problem solving and Interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills

Additional Information
The pay range for this position is: $82,909 to $108,806 per Year (I15)
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.
This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
