Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of project management or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 9+ years of project management or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 11+ years of project management or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong and proven experience in Customer Project and Program Management directly supporting Tier 1 Wi-Fi CARRIER customers and their ODMs on high profile projects that are complex and require coordination with several technical teams in multiple geographical locations.
  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management.
  • Strong experience managing 802.11ax, 802.11be Wi-Fi projects with customer.
  • Strong experience in developing executive updates and presenting/communicating to large audiences.
  • Strong experience with tools such as Excel, Excel Scripts, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Strong experience in distilling large amount of data in concise written and graphical summaries.
  • Familiar with Salesforce or similar bug tracking systems.
  • Good understanding of 802.11 family protocol (PHY, MAC and security) and Linux OS kernel.
  • Familiar with Wi-Fi capabilities such as MIMO, OFDMA, BSS Color, MRC, beamforming and other key Wi-Fi features.
  • Familiar with TCP/IP and router stack.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Biz travel for onsite customer support and training might be required.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a quick learner with "can do" attitude.
  • Good team player.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the customer project deliverables to ensure successful and timely launch of the product to the market.
  • Develop relationship with the Carrier and its ODMs, develop relationships with internal stakeholders, become the go-to person and trusted point of contact for the entire project for all external & internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the customer and Qualcomm's internal teams (engineering and Product Management) to identify and close on products gaps at the onset of the project.
  • Develop and track project schedules and milestones to meet customer requirements and schedules, track all deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track, manage, prioritize customer issues (bugs) to ensure timely deliveries of fixes to meet customer expectations and program schedules.

  • Manage customer escalations, and in turn escalating internally as needed and driving timely resolution of issues with internal teams.
  • Escalate internally to management and leads as needed, presenting the current status and more importantly the risks of the project, and impact on schedules.
  • Provide written & verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders, taking notes and following up with action item owners.
  • Manage technical discussions with customers, understand issues at the technical level and provide feedback into the engineering and marketing teams for proper bug resolution and/or product definition.
  • Acquire from customer and maintain high level project timeline that captures key project milestones in reference to our deliverables and customer schedules, ensure timely QCA deliverables that meets customer program schedules, feature needs and critical bug fixes.
  • Publish frequent and detailed internal and external updates to wide audiences - i.e. Executive Updates, Meeting Minutes, Action Items, Project Trackers and Detailed Project/Program Updates.
  • Facilitate and drive internal/external meetings/calls to review, define and track tasks and performance to customer deliverables.
  • Work in a demanding environment juggling multiple simultaneous customer driven high priority tasks.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Works independently with no supervision.
