About the Role
As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and ML engineers, to build scalable and reliable solutions. This role involves designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems with a strong focus on reliability and performance in a fast-paced 0 1 environment.
The Connectors Platform serves as the foundation for integrating and connecting hundreds of third-party applications. The team focuses on:
- Building core infrastructure for faster connector development
- Expanding the breadth of available connectors
- Enabling enterprise-level integration solutions
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Design algorithms to optimize data ingestion, handle third-party rate limits, and improve sync throughput and performance.
- Develop platform capabilities to accelerate third-party integrations.
- Improve key metrics such as sync success rate, data completeness, and freshness.
- Enable enterprises to build custom connectors using indexing APIs and custom connector capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentorship of junior engineers to foster a collaborative team culture.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.
- Strong proficiency in backend/frontend development technologies:
- Required: Golang, Python
- Nice to have: React
- Experience building large distributed systems at scale.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate user requirements into practical solutions.
- Ability to lead a sub-team of intermediate to junior engineers, providing technical direction on complex projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with building third-party app integrations.
- Passion for 0 1 product development and comfort with ambiguity.
