IMAGINE ONE TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT, LTD., is currently seeking a Senior Metrics Analyst with a background serving onboard ships, in a shipyard environment and/or extensive experience working on Navy maintenance metrics and analytics. Great opportunity for someone with prior experience as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of shipboard maintenance, enabling them to contextualize data analysis within the naval environment. This position will be seated in close proximity to the Washington Navy Yard; namely, Maritime Plaza. Minimal travel is expected.

The Senior Metrics Analyst will work alongside government personnel performing data analytics, including proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic techniques. The ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets and present them in a clear and concise manner is crucial. Moreover, experience working with diverse data sources and applying advanced methodologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) will be highly valued.

Requirements:

  • Apply shipboard maintenance experience and data analytics expertise to support the chain of command from senior Navy leaders to waterfront project managers and specialists in making informed ship maintenance and planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant data from shipboard operations and other sources.
  • Employ statistical analysis and data visualization tools to effectively extract insights and communicate findings.
  • Develop data-driven reports, briefings, and presentations for senior Navy leadership ensuring data analytics align with organizational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on data analysis results.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics, incorporating new methodologies and technologies as appropriate.
  • Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process mapping, technical design, system testing and implementation activities explaining their findings and recommendations for managers, executives, and other officials.

The following additional experience and skills is highly desired:

  • Current/prior NAVSEA or Navy experience.
  • Naval surface ship experience preferably in maintenance and surface warfare.
  • Experience with Depot-level Overhaul, Maintenance, and Modernization activities.
  • Algorithm writing experience with Python and similar AI / ML languages desired.
  • Experience with data visualization using Qlik and/or Tableau.
  • Strong background in data analytics, including experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic techniques in a DOD setting, Navy preferred.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data to support decision-making processes and drive operational improvements.
  • Familiarity with data sources and systems commonly used in the naval environment.
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Educational/Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent certification in data analytics
  • Minimum five (5) years experience

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship required.
  • An Active DoD Issued Secret Clearance (or interim Secret or higher) at time of application.
