Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with deep experience in Guidewire, Azure, and Databricks, within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. This role involves supporting the launch of a new workstream within a Guidewire DataMart ecosystem and collaborating with cross-functional teams including BSAs and Technical Analysts.

Candidates with a consulting background and strong problem-solving skills will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes within Azure and Databricks environments.
  • Build and maintain a Guidewire DataMart for reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts (BSA) and Technical BSAs to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure high data quality, performance, and governance across the platform.
  • Integrate data from various sources including Guidewire applications and insurance-specific datasets.
  • Implement data streaming and real-time processing solutions using Azure Stream Analytics, Kafka, Kinesis, or similar.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Guidewire data models and integrations Mandatory.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles.
  • Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake architecture.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and workflow automation.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, transformation, and loading in insurance-specific environments.
  • Experience working in P&C insurance data landscapes policies, claims, billing, etc.
