Program Overview
Our Government client is undertaking a multi-year comprehensive transformation of its systems, environment, and business structure. The Client is emphasizing a complete overhaul of service offerings that focus on a new way of business. Centered around an online strategy wherever possible, this customer-focused model will be the North Star for all efforts.

The program comprises six key initiatives, with a multi-year phased implementation through June 2029: 1) Program Organization; 2) Compliance & Enforcement Services; 3) Data Migration; 4) Financial Services; 5) Licensing & Credentials; 6) Titling & Registration. A new system to support all CLIENT services is being built using Salesforce, integrated with a number of other technologies. This position is needed to support the software testing efforts in this transformation and will directly report to and support this effort.

Scope of Work

  • Be available to CLIENT personnel for online consultation/meetings related to application testing M-F, 8a-5p Pacific Time.
  • Define and document QA test plans and scripts for both manual and automated testing, scenario-based testing, negative testing, load testing and full regression testing.
  • Provide regular QA status updates in meetings on progress, issues, and risks.
  • Identify and document potential risks and challenges associated with QA testing, collaborate on mitigation plans and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that documentation is clear and accurate to include automation test scripts both completed and in draft form, made accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Work proactively to address and resolve issues with Hot Fixes in Production that may impact public access for doing business with the Nevada CLIENT.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams, Pod leads and other QA testers to ensure thorough testing of software in a Production environment.
  • Support the automated QA test process for multiple CI/CD pipelines.
  • Evaluate and self-optimize the QA testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce time for Hot Fix deployments.
  • Support automated API testing using Postman within the Salesforce/MuleSoft environment.
  • Write and verify that CLIENT resources can follow the steps to test User Interface and API readiness in the designated testing environments.
  • Utilize provided CLIENT resources for questions, clarification if needed and Production driven deadlines.
Weekly written status reports to include, but not be limited to:
  • Progress on QA testing and accomplishments during the Week, with Monthly roll-ups.
  • Identify any problems in the Production environment along with proposed and/or actual resolutions.
  • Report and verify weekly outstanding impediments or issues that may still need to be addressed.
  • Updates on progress toward quarterly goals and planned activities to be accomplished each quarter.
Create QA Testing Documentation
  • ALL testing documentation should include step-by-step instructions.
  • Step-by-step instructions for both manual and automated testing, including test scripts for the Salesforce User Interface.
  • Provide all testing results using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet and/or Excel.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Advanced level experience implementing Salesforce build and test processes with quick feedback loop.
  • Strong understanding of version control, build and deployment processes using release automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address quality assurance issues in the SDLC.
  • Seasoned level experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and project management practices.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Demonstratable skills in overall project implementation utilizing best practices and strategic planning,
  • Ability to manage and mitigate risks/issues and take corrective action while working in a Production environment.
  • Align the QA testing deliverables with the DTE project plan to achieve successful product releases.
  • Excellent analytical skills required to effectively work in the field of application testing.
Experience and Skills Preferred
  • 3+ years expertise QA testing in Software as a service (SaaS) project
  • 3+ years expertise testing Salesforce in a Production environment
  • 2+ years building Automated Testing to support CI/CD pipelines
  • 2+ years Postman API Platform Testing
  • Proficient experience creating automated test scripts using Copado with Salesforce, MuleSoft, ABBYY and BOX
