Job Description
This is a temporary position.
Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endpoint Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of endpoint security, with expertise in areas such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), application control, file integrity monitoring and other security controls across a large hybrid environment. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and protection of our organization's endpoints against emerging threats while contributing to a secure and resilient IT infrastructure.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
7+ years of information technology experience, with 5+ years of experience in endpoint security
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the design, implementation, review, and optimization of endpoint security solutions, including but not limited to Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), File Integrity Monitoring, Application Control, Host Intrusion Detection/Prevention (HIDS/HIPS), Identity Protection and Firewalls.
Strong understanding of zero trust, identity protection, lateral movement, vulnerabilities, and containment strategies.
Solid experience across multiple operating system platforms - Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Preferred:
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, authentication, and federated identity management.
Knowledge of common information security management frameworks standards (e.g., NIST, FIPS-140, CSA) and knowledge or regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS).
Security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as in cross-functional teams.
Experience managing security controls and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design, deployment, administration, and management of endpoint security controls across a complex environment.
Continually update, refine, and enforce policies, processes, and procedures related to endpoint security controls.
Assess systems and vendor solutions with the goal of identifying gaps and remediating potential weaknesses in endpoint security platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate security controls and technologies.
Partner closely with Solution Architects and leads from partner teams to align organizational roadmaps and initiatives.
Develop and drive client security models and best practices in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Assist in developing long-term strategies for securing endpoints that align with current and future company and business needs.
Identify, manage, and report key metrics for the Endpoint Security environment, ensuring performance is tracked and communicated effectively to leadership.
Stay current with evolving security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices and have the ability to provide remediation solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and knowledge.
Maintaining Goals
Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
Promotes the documenting of project progress accurately.
Provides input and assistance to other teams regarding projects.
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
Manages and implements work and projects as assigned.
Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $78.61 per hour per hour.
