- 5+ years of experience in networking with a core understanding of networking devices specifically more routing focused - Cisco, Juniper, Nokia routers
- Either Cisco/Juniper/Nokia router/hardware knowledge - need to be able to speak to it in the interview.
- Looking for someone with exposure to layer 2 & 3 - troubleshooting and configuration
- Strong Routing protocol experience - OSP, ISP, NPLS, BGP, etc.
- Troubleshooting is important, mid to expert level, not basic/grad level
- Looking for someone experienced enough who is able to start working from day 1
- CCNA/CCNP is a plus
Red Flags:
- Lack of routing protocol
- Candidates do not have any troubleshooting knowledge
