Senior Program Dir., Healthcare Tech Transformation & Epic Integration

Join Ember Group Consulting as a Senior Program Director in Healthcare Technology Transformation, where you will spearhead complex Epic systems integrations and large-scale healthcare IT transformations. In this critical leadership role, you will drive strategic initiatives to support healthcare technology consolidation and optimization efforts, aligning technical solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Epic Systems Integration:
  
  • Lead strategic planning and execution for Epic integration programs across multiple healthcare entities, focusing on systems mergers, consolidations, and significant upgrades.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to C-suite stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships to support program success.
  • Develop integration strategies and direct technical architecture decisions that align with overall program goals.
    
• Program Management & Governance:
  
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, ensuring standardization and adherence to program management best practices.
  • Oversee concurrent workstreams and manage diverse cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Direct resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management efforts to ensure timely and cost-effective program delivery.
    
• Process Optimization & Change Leadership:
  
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to manage change across diverse healthcare cultures, ensuring seamless transitions and effective adoption of new systems.
    
• Mentorship & Leadership Development:
  
  • Mentor and develop future healthcare IT leaders, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and contribute thought leadership on healthcare IT transformation.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
  
  • Bachelor s or advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or Business.
  • 15+ years of healthcare IT experience, with at least 10 years focused on Epic systems integration and management.
  • Proven track record of successful Epic integration and merger programs, with experience managing programs exceeding $50M.
  • Proficiency in Epic s full suite of applications, with knowledge of healthcare workflows, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience managing large teams (50+) across organizational and functional boundaries.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
    
• Preferred:
  
  • Multiple Epic application certifications.
  • Experience with other EHR platforms, cloud migrations, and modern integration architectures.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., CHCIO, CPHIMS) and experience in healthcare clinical or operational roles.
