Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer - Mfg/Process/Industrial III
This job will have the following responsibilities:
As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of specialists, you will develop a coordinated manufacturing system maximizing state of the art manufacturing processes to design and manufacture sophisticated space propulsion systems. Partnering with manufacturing and facilities, you'll lead this process and gathers the manufacturing and facility needs, utilizes Lean techniques and creates meaningful foundations for high-efficiency manufacturing processes. Collaborating with automation engineers, process engineers, design and analysis engineers, machine and process operators, enterprise tool developers, and equipment and material vendors, you'll identify requirements and opportunities for data, tools, equipment and workflow automation.
Responsibilities:
Lead manufacturing-related projects.
Provide production support - scheduling, theory of constraint, budget & forecast, crew empowerment, defect analysis, core competency definition, make/buy evaluation, benchmarking analysis.
Identify and prioritize process improvement project - lean manufacturing, engineering economic analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical methods, six sigma and time studies.
Lead operations improvement - ergonomic & human factor, operations plan, recovery planning, capacity planning and capital planning.
Facilitate system integration - Value Stream Analysis, Facility Layouts, Production Systems Design, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking, Facilities Planning, and Requirements.
