Customer is looking for a strong Software Developer for our client to provide web-based applications and computer software. –Ruby/ROR Environment
Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, and analyzes, designs products, and programs computer software that requires extensive research. Utilizes advanced knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies.
- Develops and oversees web-based application design and creation.
- Plans, designs, evaluates, develops, tests, edits, maintains, and documents user-facing software/applications. Interview clients to help them clarify their goals for establishing an application/website.
- Designs or supervises the design of digitized images, banners, bullets, charts, image maps, and other graphics to enhance the appearance of the application/website.
- Applies knowledge of programming techniques and computer internet systems.
- Performs complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolves problems found in the software.
- May serve as a project architect.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Must have active DoD TOP SECRET with SCI clearance.
- BS/BA in Computer Science or STEM-based equivalent.
- Ten+ (10+) years experience in software development in multiple programming languages, environments, and systems.
- 3+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Experience with additional programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles
- Strong communication skills written, oral, and presentation
- Team leadership and facilitation
- Must meet DoD 8570 certification requirements IAT Lvl II within 90 days of hire.
