Sr Messaging Administrator
6 Months Contract-to-Hire
100% REMOTE
Contract Pay Rate: $48.08/hour
Conversion Annual Salary: up to $100K
2+ years experience supporting AWS SES (Amazon Simple Email Service) and Amazon Mail Manager configured for SMTP Relay.
Job Profile Summary
The Administrator, Messaging Sr is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's messaging systems. The Senior Messaging Administrator will manage the messaging infrastructure, ensuring that it is reliable, secure, and meets the needs of the organization. The Senior Messaging Administrator will work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that
messaging systems are integrated with other systems and meet business requirements.
Job Description:
The Administrator, Messaging Sr is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's messaging systems. The Senior Messaging Administrator will manage the messaging
infrastructure, ensuring that it is reliable, secure, and meets the needs of the organization. The Senior Messaging Administrator will work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that
messaging systems are integrated with other systems and meet business requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, implement, and maintain messaging systems, including email, instant messaging, and collaboration tools
- Manage the messaging infrastructure, ensuring that it is reliable, secure, and meets the needs of the organization.
- Monitor messaging systems for performance, availability, and security, and take proactive measures to address issues.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to messaging systems, including email retention and archiving, security, and access control.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that messaging systems are integrated with other systems and meet business requirements.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for messaging systems.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in messaging systems.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers related to messaging systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to messaging systems and processes.
- Expertise with Exchange 2016/2019 support and upgrade in a Hybrid configuration with Office 365.
- Utilizing SMTP Basic Authentication and Modern Authentication methods.
- Utilizing Load Balancers to offer High Availability to the Onprem Exchange System.
- Expertise in Powershell.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is an individual contributor, with no direct reports.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Strong technical skills in messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other IT teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Five (5) + years of experience in messaging systems administration, with a focus on email systems.
- Experience with email retention and archiving, security, and access control.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification in messaging systems is a plus.

Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation, as well as advanced knowledge of technological solutions to complex business
issues. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties and are solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
