Job Description
The Senior Research Project Manager is a key position responsible for leading the successful completion of treatability experiments for both external clients and internal projects to prove the efficacy of our solutions and evaluate enhancements to our water treatment technology platform. A successful candidate will work seamlessly across a team of R&D scientists, chemical and design engineers, and client-facing staff to lead the execution of proof-of-concept experiments that establish treatment system requirements for field application as well as identify areas for enhancements to existing solutions. The scope of projects extends from hypothesis identification through experiment design, data analysis and interpretation, feasibility evaluation, design optimization, and commercialization of water treatment solutions addressing PFAS and other contaminants of concern.
This position is responsible for developing and managing project scope, budgets, and schedule for both internal R&D activities and client specific bench or field demonstrations.

Ideal Candidate Education and Experience Requirement:
- A degree in a relevant scientific or technical field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry).
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in leading and managing laboratory treatability experiments.
- Expert knowledge of laboratory procedures, analytical methods and experimental techniques along with ability to demonstrate and train new techniques.
- Demonstrated success leading, collaborating, and building teams on complex technical projects.
- Ability to plan projects from initial hypothesis development and experimentation to meet client and internal project objectives
- Ability to think strategically, critically evaluate data, and make sound decisions
- Self-motivated, proactive, organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment markets.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal abilities, and project management skills.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Laboratory analytical and environmental solutions experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing R&D projects to meet objectives and budgets.
- Managing client-facing and internal experiments and projects across experimental design, execution, data analysis & interpretation, and report writing.
- Directing the design, testing, analysis, and implementation of new products or processes.
- Evaluating and identifying opportunities to optimize existing R&D processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identification of opportunities to expand intellectual property position and develop supporting documentation for coordination with patent counsel.
- Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and market pursuits.
- Mentoring junior research & development scientists and engineers.
- Representing NuQuatic to potential clients and partners.

Location and Reporting:
- This position is full-time and based in our Lakeland Florida facility
- Senior R&D project manager position reports to the R&D Director
Salary is negotiable and dependent upon relevant experience.
