Description

Robert Half is seeking a Networking Manager of Managed Services with strong people and process management and strong technical background.

This role can be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Denver, Colorado or Phoenix Arizona area.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Team Leadership:

o Supervise and mentor a team of medium and senior network engineers.

o Provide guidance, support, and professional development to team members.

o Lead team meetings to discuss project updates, issues, and improvements.

o Manage team performance, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.

o Ensure that team members are properly trained and have access to the latest tools and resources for effective problem resolution.

Client Relationship Management:

o Ensure that client service requests are handled promptly, professionally, and to the highest standards.

o Act as the primary point of escalation for client issues, resolving complex service concerns.

o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service.

Operational Management:

o Oversee the daily operations of the MSP team, ensuring that IT services are delivered on time and within scope.

o Monitor team workload, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and service levels are maintained.

o Manage service delivery performance metrics (SLA adherence, resolution times, etc.) and report to senior leadership.

o Drive improvement in the monitoring and management toolsets.

Process Improvement & Strategy:

o Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline service delivery, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

o Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for service offerings and team growth.

o Implement best practices for IT service management (e.g., ITIL methodologies) within the team.

Reporting & Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of team activities, client interactions, and service outcomes.

o Prepare regular reports for senior management on team performance, client satisfaction, and operational metrics.

The successful Network Manager will have:

5+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in an MSP environment.

o At least 1-2 years of experience directly managing engineers, preferably in an MSP environment.

o Strong understanding of IT systems, network management, security, and monitoring and management toolsets.

o Proven experience managing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and driving performance.

o Experience working with ITIL frameworks or other service management methodologies.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical clients.

o Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

o Strong knowledge of service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and monitoring and management platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor, Bomgar).

Certifications:

o ITIL Foundation or similar service management certification is preferred.

o Cisco or Palo Alto certifications (active or expired) are a plus.

Proficient (CCNP Level) with:

5+ years of experience with dynamic routing protocols

5+ years of experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE Routing/switching platforms

5+ years of experience with Remote Access VPN and Site-to-Site VPN: All aspects

5+ years of experience in troubleshooting and managing Firewalls: ACLs, NAT, NGFW, routing

Proficient with at least three of the below technologies

3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting ISE: NADs, AuthE policies

5+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting FMC

2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Meraki MX, MS, MR and SDWAN

2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting DNAC: register devices, manage and build templates

2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting SDWAN (Cisco)

2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama

1+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting ACI

1+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting public cloud (AWS or Azure)
