Reliability Engineer (Material Goods) for Global Consumer Product Company in Cupertino, CA

Summary

Seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. The engineer will collaborate with teams in Reliability Labs and contract manufacturing locations. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the team's products meet and exceed customer expectations for durability, robustness, and reliability. The ideal candidate will execute reliability tests, analyze results, and support lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute reliability testing, develop test plans, and analyze test results.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate test reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in failure analysis investigations and collaborate with vendors on technical challenges.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance of reliability facilities.
  • Support lab logistics, including inventory management and organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve design flaws quickly.

Required Qualifications

  • Interest or experience in AI/ML for process automation (nice to have).
  • 2-8 years of experience of hands-on reliability testing.
  • Must have technical reliability engineering (test execution, analysis, reporting).
  • Project management skills to coordinate across teams and drive issue resolution (30%).
  • Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or experimental settings.
  • Familiarity with reliability test procedures, including environmental and mechanical testing.
  • Understanding of failure analysis techniques (X-Ray, CT, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS, C-SAM).
  • Knowledge of molding processes or textiles is preferred.
  • B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite Full-Time).
Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension
Pay Rate Range: $70/h-$80/h (DOE)
