  • This position is fully remote.
  • The operating hours are Eastern Timezone, therefore, the resource must be comfortable working EST hours, EST or CST is strongly preferred.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
  • The office is located in Boston, MA.

Overview

Our client is seeking a JIRA Analyst to join their team. The Jira Analyst s primary role will be to optimize and maintain workflows critical for speed-to-market regarding vendor onboarding, item assortment, and backend processes for rebates, supply chain, and retail operations. This position is essential for ensuring process efficiency, standardization, and seamless integration with other systems, enhancing collaboration and data-driven decision-making. The individual will be responsible for managing workflow updates, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring that the workflows meet both functional and strategic business requirements. Additionally, this role entails providing necessary training and support to ensure seamless adoption of updated workflows.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to convey complex issues clearly to both internal and external parties. A successful candidate will also be adept at time management and adopt a solution-oriented approach to resolving business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Jira workflows using Groovy scripting.
  • Engage in user interview/stories to gather and refine both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Administer Jira products, including integration of workflows, issue types, fields, screens, schemas, and projects.
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate with both the product and technical teams, and ensure the integration meets functional and strategic business requirements.
  • Oversee training and support to ensure seamless adoption of new systems and workflows.
  • Maintain high standards of operational excellence and stakeholder communication.
  • Assist with managing the backlog.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Two or more years of experience in Jira workflow development and administration.
  • Need experience with JIra Service Management.
  • Proven experience with Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting for Jira.
  • Expertise in REST API configurations.
  • Experience interviewing stakeholders and gathering requirements.
  • Experience with user stories.
  • Proficiency in administering Jira products, integrating workflows, issue types, fields, screens, schemas, and projects.
  • Strong project and product management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time management and a solution-oriented approach.
