Airtower Networks is looking for an RF Engineer to join their team as an In-Building Design Engineer. They are looking for someone with 3 - 5 years of inbuilding experience supporting both carrier and public safety projects. The engineer will be responsible for performing site surveys, site walks, creating BOM's, and helping the engineers creating actual designs and revisions to optimize the design within iBwave that meets the customers needs. There will be a level of QC review of the drawings themselves. They will be working on designs and projects that could be a 3 million square foot facility or a 26 floor MDU in the city.
They will also be working with the field technicians to do commissioning, integrating and testing of DAS equipment and signal strength. They should be familiar with multiple OEM's, Airtower uses JMA and ADRF primarily.
They need to be able perform sweep testing, PIM, OTDR testing, they will need to be able to perform Quality Control checks, to validate the installation of the head-end, remote equipment, cable infrastructure, grid walk testing and data collection, and provide close out packages.
They need to have solid communication skills, they will be working with design engineers, project managers, customers, landlords, and construction crews.
They need to be a team player and be willing to help train and mentor technicians in the field.
This person will be working on the design, construction, maintenance, and optimization phases of the wireless lifecycle.
The majority of the work is local to the BAWA market but they have projects nationally. This professional needs to be open to nationally
- Travel requirements for this position will be 40% - 50%. This is typically twice a month and depends on the project. Some projects it could be as few as 2 days or as much as a week.
