We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the enhancement of our member API services. This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, IT Managers, Technical Designers, Developers, and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, recommend technical solutions, and support system improvements.
This is a contract position with the opportunity for extension and potential permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and document business requirements and use cases.
Lead and facilitate walkthrough sessions to validate requirements with business and IT teams.
Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations that align with IT strategy and business objectives.
Create clear and organized documentation using Excel, Visio, and Word.
Develop and maintain Business Systems Analyst best practices and templates.
Identify and drive process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the continuous enhancement of member API services.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of direct Business Systems Analyst experience, or 4 6 years as a Business Analyst.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and IT environments.
Preferred Qualifications
SQL experience is a plus.
Experience supporting API-driven environments or services.
Familiarity with healthcare or dental insurance industries.
Technical Tools & Environment
Microsoft Excel advanced skills required.
Microsoft Visio process mapping and flowcharting.
Microsoft Word documentation and reporting.
General IT systems knowledge.
