$77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

What You Will Do
- Define and implement test strategies for new software products developed using Agile methodologies, ensuring high-quality outcomes throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create detailed manual test cases based on product requirements, user needs, and an understanding of clinical workflows and intended product use.
- Lead testing efforts on prototype software, performing hands-on experimentation, and coordinating test activities across a small team.
- Plan, execute, analyze, and document formal verification testing, ensuring compliance with product requirements through structured protocols and clear reporting.
- Design and validate custom software test tools or interfaces as needed to support efficient and accurate testing.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects promptly while working collaboratively with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Understand and apply regulatory requirements, including documentation and test support for performance assessments of AI/ML models integrated into the software.
- Collaborate on test automation initiatives, helping to streamline repetitive testing tasks and improve efficiency across development cycles.
What You Need
Minimum requirements
- Holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, including software, biomedical, electrical, or mechanical disciplines.
- Has experience in test engineering for at least two years, with a common background in software, though hardware experience is also relevant.
- Is comfortable programming in at least one language, such as Python, C++, C#, Arduino, or LabVIEW.
- Demonstrates strong communication, technical writing, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail in technical environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has developed experience over two or more years in software test engineering or quality assurance within regulated environments that follow design control standards.
- Brings familiarity with industry-recognized testing principles-often demonstrated through ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge in test design, analysis, and coverage assessment.
- Understands the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices, and is comfortable using basic statistical methods (e.g., proportion tests, t-tests, ANOVA) to interpret test data.
- Is experienced with tools that support modern development and testing workflows, such as Jira for defect tracking, Jama for test traceability, GitLab for version control, and Squish for automation.
