SYSTEMTEC is hiring Mainframe System Support Administrator in Columbia, SC
Work Hours: 10pm -> 7am eastern - This is a nighttime position providing system support which includes monitoring our systems for potential issues including identifying issues that may be causing systems performance issues.
Required Qualifications of the Mainframe System Support Administrator:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree
Required Work Experience: 4 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming experience Required Skills: JCL and CICS troubleshooting
Nice to have: DB2, IMS, Scripting in VBA or PowerShell, Endevor, Freeze Frame, MQ, and Splunk knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities of the Mainframe System Support Administrator:
Provide system/production support and monitoring for applications, batch cycles, releases, projects, installations, etc. Participate in work sessions for system support and problem resolution. May provide coordination in workload transition tasks.
We have a very strong technical and dedicated team with over 130 years of experience.
We are currently working on implementing the new Government contracts for both the East and the West. We also support the VA Community Care Network.
