Job Details

Role:
As a GitHub Co-pilot Team Engineer, you will provide technical support, configuration, and optimization for AI coding assistants in an enterprise environment. You will collaborate with teams to enhance developer productivity, troubleshoot issues, and lead the exploration of new AI tools.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for AI coding assistants used in the enterprise.
Work with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Assist in configuring and optimizing AI tools for enterprise needs.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate engineers on AI tools.
Monitor AI coding assistant performance and provide feedback for improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and usage guidelines.
Evaluate and experiment with AI coding assistants to enhance development workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into development processes.
Manage deployment and adoption of AI coding assistants within the engineering teams.
Assess and compare different AI tools to identify the best solutions.
Stay updated on AI and machine learning advancements to drive innovation.
Develop and maintain data pipelines for AI coding assistant telemetry data.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability.

Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or similar role with a strong software development background.
Hands-on experience in Python programming and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
Practical knowledge of AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and AI-driven development tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for comparative tool evaluations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining IDE extensions for platforms like VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, and Eclipse.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Prior experience in technical support or an engineering role related to AI tools.
Experience in monitoring AI tool usage and deriving actionable insights.
Knowledge of enterprise security best practices for AI coding assistants.
Familiarity with data engineering principles and managing AI-related data pipelines.
Passion for emerging technologies in AI and software development.
