Job Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver network infrastructure services such that Decisive Group can provide high quality, reliable offerings to employees, clients and partners.
  • Develop gap analysis assessments, supporting technical documentation, and solutions for networking infrastructure environments. Then present them to key stakeholders and lead their execution.
  • Plan, present and execute on technical changes using a change management process.
  • Execute network changes with a comprehensive mindset, with high attention to detail and consideration of both technical dependencies and customer impact.
  • Network monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Contribute to and/or lead large scale projects as well as divisional expansion projects.
  • Produce and maintain timely, accurate engineering documentation.
  • Document and communicate all technical work via a ticketing system.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for IT Infrastructure performance and functionality improvement within the enterprise estate.
  • Participate in a on call rotation.
  • Cross train with other team members and company departments to develop skills in 3rd party software used in the Decisive group environments.
  • Upskill on 3rd party software necessary for the operations of Decisive Group.
  • Complete operational break fix/care and feeding tasks for both network and application platforms essential to the operations of Decisive Group.
  • Participate in the development efforts to further bring automation into the Decisive group technical environments.
  • Be responsible for compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Integrate technical expertise with communication, leadership, and business skills in a team environment.
  • Regularly liaise with client service teams, service desks and 3rd line engineers.


Essential Technical Skills

  • Strong networking knowledge and skills (VXLAN, FabricPath, TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, NSX)
  • Demonstrate a mastery of the concepts and theory within a of the following areas: IT Infrastructure, Cloud computing, Networking, Unified Communications, Hosting and Project Management.
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong skill set in Cisco Networking technologies.
  • Ability to maintain and administer WAN and internal networking topologies.
  • Contribute to the programmability of the infrastructure, primarily based on the following toolset:
    • Python
    • Ansible
    • Web Technologies (Javascript, HTML/CSS, Django,AJAX)
    • Other Scripting skills will be an advantage


Essential Non Technical Skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong customer centric approach and excellent communications skills.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and makes architecture roadmaps and or recommendation based on these trends.
  • Team player, openness to share information, curious, a desire to learn and grow both within the domain of networking skills and other technologies.
  • Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain from Decisive Group


Experience Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in this field or a related industry.

A demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks on a daily basis.
