Description

The Innovation Factory seeks a strong network subject matter expert to lead our corporate data networking innovation technical strategy and team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data network development, management, team management, innovation, and network architecture.

This is a fully remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of data networking innovation strategies.
  • Architect and innovate network products, offerings, capabilities and solutions to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Consult as a subject matter expert on the management and optimization of data network infrastructure.
  • Manage and mentor a team of innovation network professionals.
  • Collaborate with business development, capture, proposal, and other team members to optimize proposed solutions.
  • Identify technical staff needs and coordinate assignments for proposal efforts.
  • Consult on and review proposals.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to meet customer technical, schedule, and cost requirements.
  • Meet with customers to discuss capabilities, services, and solutions for business development and capture efforts.
  • Provide solution-related technical support after award as needed.
  • Support market segmentation, long-term positioning, and opportunity assessment from a solution strategy perspective.

Scope and Leadership:
  • Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
  • Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Recommends and makes decisions on administrative or project work matters to ensure effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.

  • Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides innovative solutions.
  • Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs.

  • Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into final products.

  • Acts as a prime spokesperson on the company's capabilities and future directions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 18 years or more of related experience. MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 16 years or more of related experience.
  • Extensive experience in data network development, management, team management, innovation, and network architecture.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies and DevSecOps.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies:
    • Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
    • Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
    • Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN)
    • Wi-Fi 6 and 6E
    • 5G Technology
    • Unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
