Job Title: Telecom Technical Project Manager
Location: Houston, TX for in-office presence 1-2 times a week)
Position Type: Full-Time (Potential for conversion to permanent)
Job Summary:
Corebridge Financial is seeking a Telecom Technical Project Manager to lead the conversion of MPLS circuits to Internet Circuits across 30-50 sites in the U.S. This role involves managing the provisioning of telecom circuits, coordinating with carriers and business contacts for quotes and orders, and overseeing site surveys and activations. The ideal candidate will have strong investigative skills, experience in telecom project management, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Circuit Conversion and Provisioning: Manage the conversion of MPLS circuits to Internet Circuits, including provisioning telco circuits and coordinating with carriers for quotes, orders, and tracking.
  • Site Coordination: Work with site contacts to facilitate access for carriers, schedule site surveys, and coordinate activations with third parties.
  • Collaboration with Real Estate and Sourcing Teams: Collaborate with the real estate team for new circuit orders and work with the sourcing department to place hardware orders for new or converted sites (Cisco to Aruba).
  • Inventory Oversight and Auditing: Conduct audits of existing telecom inventory to identify and eliminate unused services (Voice and Data) and consolidate the telecom environment.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Develop and update process documentation, and participate in cleanup efforts to streamline operations.
  • Financial Management: Track financials using spreadsheets and ensure project budgets are adhered to.
  • Tool Utilization: Learn and utilize an internal tool to manage circuit information and other relevant data. Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in telecom project management, particularly in circuit provisioning and conversion.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with carriers, site contacts, and internal teams.
  • Experience with telecom inventory auditing and consolidation.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools and financial tracking spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model with occasional in-office presence in Houston, TX.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba hardware.
  • Familiarity with telecom environments and homegrown tools for circuit management.
  • Ability to convert to a full-time permanent position.
