Job Description
The Systems Engineer position is responsible for providing Engineering support to the TRISO-X fuel production facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for participation in facility design process ensuring requirements are allocated to appropriate systems and subsystems.
  • Works with engineering leads and subcontractors to define system and subsystem functional and physical architecture definitions.
  • Oversees the requirements validation process and supports the specifications verification process.
  • Defines and develops verification and validation plans.
  • Use MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) software to:
  • Capture high-level design requirements and where possible decompose to lower-level requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis and allocate functions to systems and subsystems.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements, functions, and specifications to respective validation and verification elements.
  • Link engineering design documentation (Engineering Service Orders, Interface Requirements, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), isometric drawings, test plans) to associated elements within the MBSE application.
  • Provide traceability, verification, validation, testing, and system commissioning for records management, functional specification, and component specification.
  • Assists with the development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Minimum Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in systems, electrical, or mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience in medium to large scale development projects.
  • Strong familiarity with Systems Engineering requirements management, verification tools (e.g. CORE/GENESYS, DOORS, Jama, Visure, ReqSuite RM, Accompa, Orcanos).
  • Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing facility design and approaches to lean manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
