Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable cloud architectures in AWS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for efficiency.
- Design, configure and understand hosting security measures and implement according to best practices
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate solutions into overall hosting solution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging/changing cloud technologies
- Author documentation for operations teams and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, specifically in AWS.
- Experience with AWS services such as VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, Security Groups, EC2, IAM, S3, Workspaces
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks such as BASH, Python, Perl, Ansible, Puppet, etc
- Experience of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS)
- Good troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect
