We are designing our next generation aiEVTOL and growing a team of world-class aviation professionals. We are seeking self-driven, passionate, and experienced professionals to join our team.

AIBOT is seeking a Technician/Jr. Engineer, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing/Head of Aircraft Engineering, to assist with mechanical and electrical design and technical tasks. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and perform diagnostic tests on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs.
  • Document processes, procedures, and other record keeping.
  • Monitor the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
  • Perform technical tasks that include equipment and machinery management, assessment, repair, and maintenance.
  • Maintain the shop environment by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly always maintained while performing job duties, including but not limited to cleaning floors, windowsills, doors, windows, furniture, fixtures and lighting.
  • Follow established procedures when working on projects or tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • 5+ yrs of experience as a Shop Technician.
  • Experience with mechanical or electrical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
  • A&P License.
  • Drone or aerospace/aviation technician experience.
  • Experience with electrical, software and controls.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software.
  • Hand tools experience.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Travel required 10% of time.
Hourly Range
$33 $50 USD

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, education, experience, and skills. Base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. Exempt employees also receive generous medical, dental, vision, and chiropractic coverage, access to a 401(k)-retirement plan, life insurance, and various other perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacations in addition to 12 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees may also accrue up to 6 days of sick leave.
