We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to join the Security Platform team. You will partner with security researchers, engineering, and partner product teams to create and deliver features on a common platform that drives various solutions in Microsoft Security. Our customers' heterogeneous environments contain a multitude of assets (devices, users, data systems etc.) with exabytes of data across their asset and activity stores. The Security Platform uses AI and agents to make this data re-usable at scale, with insights that can help our customers, and is built on the foundations of data security and compliance. This role requires cross-team, cross-company, and cross-geo collaboration; and you will be partnering with a diverse, worldwide team to ensure that our solutions are best in class. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years experience in product management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity products.

Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with Knowledge Graphs/AI.
  • Customer focus and a deep commitment to delivering products that create customer value and delightful experiences.
  • Effective communication skills with a broad range of audiences and ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to quickly come up to speed on a variety of technologies and use that knowledge to drive product requirements/direction.
  • Problem solving and conflict-resolution skills across a set of technical, product, and business challenges.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Own a product area and be responsible for understanding user needs and behaviors, defining product requirements, managing end-to-end product development, launches and iterations.
