Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure to optimize performance, reliability, and security.
2. Develop and maintain network architecture and infrastructure plans, including documentation and diagrams.
3. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
4. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
5. Ensure network security and connectivity, including managing firewalls and maintaining intrusion detection systems.
6. Implement and manage SDWAN across the organization.
7. Conduct network optimization studies and recommend changes to improve performance.
8. Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to identify and address network infrastructure needs.
9. Provide technical leadership and expertise in network design and operations.
10. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in network technology.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, specifically in the Energy industry.
3. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
4. Strong hands-on experience with SDWAN, Firewalls, routing, and switching.
5. Excellent knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
6. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
7. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools).
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar are highly desirable.
