Solution Architect

Remote - after first 1-2 days of project onsite in Glastonbury, CT

Scope of Services

Our client is seeking a Solution Architect to lead various information technology and business intelligence efforts. The successful candidate will be a passionate data professional who can identify strategies and best practices and provide direction and support to a team of BI/DW developers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience providing guidance and leadership to technical staff
  • Minimum of 9 years experience as a data warehouse developer/database developer
  • Minimum of 5 years experience architecting data models
  • Thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts, Star Schema design, and slowly changing dimensions
  • Minimum of 5 years experience analyzing administrative datasets
  • Minimum of 9 years experience with MS SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 including T-SQL programming and scripting
  • Minimum of 9 years experience building Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization technology
  • Minimum of 5 years experience assembling and validating large datasets for research/analysis
  • Have experience identifying data acquisition strategies, designing Master Data Management solutions, and implementing data governance processes
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with data in Excel
  • Minimum of 9 years experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements
  • Ability to work with staff of varying skill levels, both technical and non-technical
  • Strong communications skills including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
  • Proven ability to produce quality work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
