IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER
- This is a remote job

- The IT Infrastructure Manager must live in the United States and must be authorized to work in the United States
- This is a full-time job as a FriendFinder Networks employee. This is not a C2C, 1099, or Contract to Hire.
WHAT WE WANT
The IT Infrastructure Manager leads and directs operations for mission-critical infrastructure that supports both internal business systems and global customer-facing websites. This role combines infrastructure architecture expertise with team leadership to drive operational excellence, ensure scalability, and promote innovation across the organization's technology infrastructure.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (Primary Responsibilities)
Team Leadership and Management
The IT Infrastructure Manager provides strategic direction and hands-on management for the infrastructure team, including:
- Developing and mentoring team members to enhance infrastructure expertise and advance their careers
- Managing workload distribution, project assignments, and on-call rotation schedules
- Establishing infrastructure performance metrics and conducting regular evaluations
- Implementing best practices for infrastructure documentation and knowledge sharing
- Leading incident post-mortems and driving continuous infrastructure improvements
Infrastructure Operations Management
Oversee critical infrastructure operations, including:
- Architecting and maintaining Linux infrastructure for internal systems and public-facing websites
- Managing container infrastructure and Kubernetes cluster operations at scale
- Implementing and maintaining configuration management infrastructure through Puppet
- Overseeing system provisioning and infrastructure automation using Kickstart
- Managing PKI infrastructure and certificate lifecycles across all environments
- Maintaining DNS architecture and naming services for internal and external systems
- Administering storage infrastructure and NFS solutions
- Overseeing GitLab infrastructure and CI/CD platform reliability
Strategic Planning and Innovation
Drive infrastructure advancement and operational efficiency through:
- Developing and executing infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business and website scaling objectives
- Evaluating and implementing new infrastructure technologies to enhance capabilities
- Establishing and maintaining infrastructure SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs for both internal and external services
- Creating and maintaining infrastructure disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Optimizing infrastructure costs while maintaining service quality and performance
Security and Compliance
Ensure robust infrastructure security measures and compliance standards by:
- Implementing and maintaining infrastructure security policies and access controls
- Overseeing infrastructure patching and update processes
- Managing infrastructure-related incident response procedures
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards for both internal and customer-facing systems
- Conducting regular infrastructure security audits and assessments
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE (Qualifications)
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of infrastructure experience, including both internal systems and public-facing web platforms
- 3+ years of infrastructure team management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure architecture and scalability
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Linux infrastructure at scale
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and container infrastructure
- Proficiency in infrastructure scripting and automation
- Understanding of networking and DNS architecture for internal and external services
- Experience with high-performance storage systems and NFS
- Knowledge of CI/CD infrastructure and GitLab administration
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
Leadership Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proven track record of infrastructure team leadership
- Experience managing infrastructure incident response and escalations
- Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution
Working Conditions
- Full-time position
- Remote work position with occasional travel required
- Participation in on-call rotation and emergency response required
- Evening and weekend work may be necessary for system maintenance and incident response
WHAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE

- Proficient in all Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
