Job Title: Software Engineer (Contingent Resource)
Location: Chandler, AZ
Job Description:
As a Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will:
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering to meet deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex technology initiatives, including those with companywide impact.
- Develop standards and best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges.
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
- Influence and lead technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Collaborate with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues.
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
- Design, optimize, and document the engineering aspects of the Cloud platform.
- Build and enable cloud infrastructure, automating the orchestration of the entire PCF/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Cloud Platforms.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring constant attention and decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot.
- 4+ years of test automation development experience using Selenium with Java.
- 3+ years of Java unit test case development experience.
- 3+ years of microservices development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with RESTful or SOAP web services.
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies such as PCF, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- 3+ years of experience with Subversion, GitHub.
- 3+ years of experience with Maven or Gradle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber, QMetry, and/or Karate framework.
- Experience with API level testing, service virtualization, reporting, and test automation coverage reporting.
- Experience in DevOps and hands-on with build and deploy tools such as Jenkins.
- Awareness of CI/CD processes in a large application environment.
- Oracle database experience.
- Cloud certification from any cloud providers.
- Experience with application non-functional requirements including monitoring (APM tools), logging (Splunk), and distributed tracing.
- Knowledge and understanding of home mortgage origination processes: applications, processing, and closing.
- Experience with SONAR and Fortify.
- Experience with clean coding concepts.
- Working knowledge of IDEs like Eclipse IDE, VSCode IDE.
- Working knowledge of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence.
