Technical Support Operations
Lab Technician
Duties: Location: Plano
Qualified candidates will be proficient in Basic Network administration, Rack and Stack, Network cabling and updating documentation. You must be self-motivated, articulate and organized. You have a talent for finding and resolving issues before they become larger problems. Prefer candidates with experience in a support or engineering network lab or Data Center Environment.
Skills:
Basic troubleshooting skills on network outages are a plus.
Working experience on Firewalls is a plus.
Handson experience on Cisco and Arista switches is a plus.
Basic Windows and VMware administration experience.
Strong cable management skills and experience running fiber and copper cables in data center.
Basic understanding of how to use VMware virtual environment ex: power on and power off VMs.
Basic experience with CENTOS, Ubuntu, or other Linux distributions.
Strong understanding of cable patch panel connections.
Being able to differentiate between copper and Fiber optics and cables.
Pay Range: $35 - $40 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
