Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team with solid experience in Snowflake and DBT. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Snowflake, DBT, and Python is a Plus. A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar role is required. Data Engineer, this position requires candidate who are enthusiastic about data and driven to help in organization's Analytics challenges. As a member of the team, you will help our clients on their data and analytics journey, by building data pipelines, improving consistency, and building the necessary infrastructure to support their analytics platform.

We are looking for people local to Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid role 2 days (Monday & Thursday) from office and 3 days from home.

Required Skills:

  • Solid experience of Minimum 7 Years as a Data Engineer with Snowflake and DBT.
  • Experience working in Datawarehouse/ETL Projects
  • 4+ years of working with DBT
  • 4+ years of Snowflake ETL experience or equivalent
  • Programming skills: PLSQL/ Database knowledge/Python
  • Experience in architecting and large data modernization, data migration, data warehousing experience with cloud-based data platforms (like Snowflake)
  • Working experience on Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Experience designing and developing data integration solutions using ETL tools such as DBT
  • Hands-on experience in the implementation of cloud data warehouses using Snowflake
  • Hands-on experience in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
  • Experience in Developing and maintain DBT models, packages and documentation
  • Experience in Designing and maintaining the Snowflake data architecture, ensuring scalability, security and high availability
  • Experience in Developing and optimizing ETL processes using Snowflake's capabilities and other tools to load, transform and deliver data
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in the context of Snowflake
  • Proficiency in SQL and database table design - able to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets
  • Experience in a role performing data warehouse and analytics solution design and development using a variety of techniques
  • Ability to understand data pipelines and modern ways of automating data using cloud-based and on-premise technologies
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Scalability: Planning for scalability and future growth, considering data volume and user requirements.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Statistics, or related field
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment


Job Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in basic and advanced SQL programming concepts (Procedures, Analytical functions etc.)
  • Good Knowledge and Understanding of Data warehouse concepts (Dimensional Modeling, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in Shell / PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledgeable in relational databases, nonrelational databases, data streams, and file stores
  • Knowledgeable in performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience in Data Profiling and Data validation
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documentation processes and performing unit testing
  • Understanding and Implementing QA and various testing process in the project
  • Knowledge in any BI tools will be an added advantage
  • Sound aptitude, outstanding logical reasoning, and analytical skill
  • Willingness to learn and take initiatives
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced Agile environment
