Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in the DC Metro Area. The successful applicant will operate as the resident guide, and help leadership create well-designed project plans to assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Job Responsibilities:

As an IT Project Manager, you will:

  • Oversee process improvements for Navy Workforce, Pay and Personnel, Training, and Education.
  • Summarize and present technical and functional information through documentation and reports
  • Lead multiple multi-functional IT projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Coordinate with clients and collaborators to ensure alignment of multi-functional team support, planning, collaboration, and execution with project goals.
  • Develop and spearhead work plans, schedules, project estimates, budgets, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies, and monthly reports. Monitor critical metrics for technical programs.
  • Gather and analyze requirements, set priorities, define project schedules, lead internal and external resources, and facilitate sprint planning as needed.
  • Ensure alignment to quality standards in deployed solutions and track exceptions for resolution.
  • Clarify project commitments and establish clear accountability both within and outside the IT department.
  • Lead the transition of legacy system capabilities to new systems, ensuring alignment between current and future states.
  • Facilitate frequent communication between collaborators, including transformation teams, developers, system integrators, and product owners.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers to gather key system elements.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to lead client engagement sessions for development planning and execution.
  • Assess and recommend system shutdown timelines, data migration schedules, and necessary legacy system capabilities to maintain operations.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level communications and briefings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Minimum 6 years of IT project management experience focusing on Business Process Management and Project/Program Management
  • DoD background experience required.
  • Consistent track record of delivering complex IT solutions, including hardware and software projects, into production.
  • Experience with IT Business Continuity Planning, Business Case Acquisition Cycle (BCAC), and annual test executions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Navy-specific background is a plus.
  • Good communication and team-building skills.
  • Solid skills in test writing.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Six Sigma or PMI/PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is 120K-155K.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
