Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300
Salary Range 2: $54,400 - $90,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an Engineering Technician 2/Engineering Technician 3to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Magna, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work on various projects as assigned to help improve process and team environment.
- The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
- Compiles reports, data, planning, certifications, and other items to comply with internal and customer hardware packages that will be presented to outside customers for review acceptance.
- Candidates must be highly organized, attentive to detail, possess strong computer and communication skills.
- Perform construction and wiring of test fixtures and test chassis working from drawings, schematics and instructions.
- Candidate must have a strong working knowledge on implementation of continuous improvement using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge and skill in using hand tools, lathes, drills, saws, and other tools.
- This role will report on-site daily to our Propulsion Systems location near Magna, UT. Some domestic travel may be required. This in an onsite position, with no work from home options at the present.

- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 0 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.
- Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics.
- Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.
- Ability to read, clearly interpret and accurately follow standard work and other written instructions.
- Capable of the use of calibrated measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters.
- Proficient with manual and power tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
- High school diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience with explosives or energetic assembly and testing.
- Experience in aerospace or aviation hardware processing.
- Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, ordnance handling, and ordnance system testing.
- Experience in setting up and running computerized CNC equipment or willing to learn.
- Experience in set-up, fabrication, using a lathe, mill, and other carpentry equipment and able to trouble shoot equipment problems.
- Experience in using X-ray equipment and photography.
- Ability to receive and follow specific instructions from procedures, prints, planning and supervision.
- Good communication skills with ability to understand and communicate technical information with clarity.
- Ability to read, interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.
- Experience with CAD or other Drafting software.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)
