Position Title: Sr. Project Manager (Sr. Principal Scrum Master)


<>Skillset Required</>

<>Position Summary</>

The Sr. Project Manager/Sr. Principal Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader and coach for Agile Teams, helping them mature through Agile values, principles, and success patterns. The role will focus on facilitating team Iteration Events, supporting Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and driving continuous improvement for team dynamics, flow, and performance.


<>Primary Responsibilities</>
  • Agile Team Facilitation: Lead and support Agile Teams through self-organization, coordination, and participation in Agile Release Trains (ARTs) events.
  • Scrum Techniques: Apply expert knowledge of Scrum methods, including user story refinement, backlog refinement, and PI planning to help teams achieve their goals.
  • Team Coaching: Guide team members in a servant-leadership style to foster growth, encourage collaboration, and build trust.
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a conflict navigator to help team members resolve issues, improve decision-making, and solve problems independently.
  • Transparency and Communication: Ensure team transparency by managing and reviewing key Agile artifacts, identifying and addressing any gaps or anti-patterns in team processes.
  • PI Planning Preparation: Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to prepare teams for Program Increment (PI) Planning, draft PI objectives, and review final plans for business value alignment.
  • Cadence-Based Team Events: Facilitate Agile team events, including iteration planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

<>Qualifications</>
  • Education & Experience: Minimum of 8+ years as an Agile Product Owner or similar role, with a bachelor s degree (advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Jira Software, Confluence, LucidCharts, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth.
    • Demonstrated understanding of SAFe and Agile methodologies.
  • Certifications: SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification is required.
  • Key Abilities:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional skills in prioritization and data-driven decision-making.

<>Interpersonal and Communication Skills</>

The ideal candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation capabilities for a variety of audiences.
